Greetings,

My name is Matthew. By definition I'm pretty much what you would expect a geek to be except I don't wear broken glasses held together with tape, and I do have a real life aside from geek stuff. I live in a small technology-proof town somewhere in Michigan. I'm about 35, married, have 3 children, 5 cats, and about 9 computers. My moral foundation is based on being logical (what did you expect?), honest, understanding, open, and direct. No beating around the bush here, no telling lies to one's self or others. If I'm wrong about something I'll be the first to say so.

I'm starting this journal because it seems the older I get the more I seem to want to write, and in some cases share the things I have to say with anyone who will listen. I'm also doing this to provide myself with a written journal of thoughts I have about topics that interest me, piss me off, excite me, or that I'm just plain reminiscing about. Not that anyone would be particularly interested in my past, but writing is a fun way for me to remember, and at least for one of us it will be enjoyable. :-)
